In a time crucial emergency situation ,that could be a life saver to know how to do that.I like to call those "get er done tactics",..
Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)

you should run a file over the sides of the valve were the keepers/locks and stem tops they can get hammered so hitting it with a file will help get the hi off so you do not tear up the guilds when you pull them out

yeah, I know, and I did that, the intake valve just seemed to bind up, so I zipped the top part of the stem off where it was hitting with my cut off wheel, then filed the rough edges. I have 12 new valves anyway.
