there is no differents in air flow between aluminum and iron.dart iron eagles are ten time better then chevy hump heads.i have a 55 gallon drum of hump heads behide the shop.the aluminum heads dissapates heat better which well allow you to run a little more compression.the combustion chambers from the aluminum and the iron are the same to.the good thing about aluminum heads they can be welded easy.if you're looking for a good street head.the vortec fast burn chevy heads are very good.reg port for up to 350ci, large port up 400ci.i think you can get the reg port from jegs for around 250each.i build race engine for a living and very good dyno number on mild street engine with these heads.the iron eagle are very goo to with porting and good cam selection on 10to1 400ci you can 500+hp.
