just as an update, last friday, I brought my cyl head into the shop, started taking it apart, and found 2 huge cracks in the # 3 and 4 cyl chambers, must have overheated, the valves were brown, umbrella seals were melted and the cracks ran right into the exhaust seats. I immediatly called DVAP, where I bought the head, talked to the same guy that sold me the head, told him it was cracked, he looked up my information, and said he was going to bump me up to the top of his list, and have another retrived/ sent out. should be here by the end of the week.

I keep the old head, all it has good is a 1.5 rocker shaft, a water neck that I cannot use ( outlet too big ) and 4 valves that are servicable, all others were massivly bent, these have good margins, nice and str8, I can put them on the valve refacer and they should clean up good, I'll sandblast them first
