The dual Cherry Bombs on my '51 back in the day sounded really sweet. They never got to the place where they sounded tinny. Stovebolts weren't made to rumble . . . they were made to sing.Jack

yep, they don't have a good idle sound really, they start to sound good just off idle. mine is actully raspy at idle.

I always liked the Purple Hornies....maybe thats why my hearing aint so good anymore.....couldn't be the years I spent on the line around jet engines without noise abatement....
Sometimes NOW are the "good old days"...
