I'v heard 235's with glasspacks and with chambered mufflers, by far the glasspacks sound better. I have a video clip of a '40 Chevy I'll dig up, it runs a 235 w/ split manifold through smitty's glasspacks. or go to this site http://www.stoveboltengineco.com/tomsride.htm this is a 302 GMC but sounds almost the same as the '40 W/ smitty's.
