    Cleveland 351 2V re-built

Will someone / anyone give me an idea on the value of a Cleveland 351 2V? Supposedly has 20k on it after a rebuild. Came out of a 73 Torino restore that was totaled.

Well, does the seller have any documentation on the build? A 'rebuilt' engine is defined differently by folks..... would depend on how thorough a rebuild it was.... was it bored, new pistons, balanced, heads done....or just a set of rings and bearings?? Value is hard to say. Depends on how bad the seller wants to sell and the buyer wants to buy.... If it's a quality rebuild, maybe somewhere between $500-$1,000???? At least that's about all it would bring around here. Maybe if you can at least hear it run, then more....

Dave is right about being "rebuilt." All depends on what the seller considers rebuilt.

'73's were starting to get into smog territory, too, and were not usually like their brothers from the late '60's, or 1970. Plus, 2 barrel heads weren't as sought after as the 4 barrel Clevelands. I know some people used the 2 barrel heads to make a psuedo Boss 302, but that was about it, I think.

I would think Daves $ 500 figure is about right, but I could be high or low, depending on where you are.
