converter for permormer RPM build
I've got a sb 355 with a performer build and am looking to change the cam and intake to a performer RPM build by Edelbrock.
Intake #7101 and cam #7102. Was wondering if my current torqe converter would be ok to run? if not, how much stall should I be looking for? the vehicle is street use only.
thanks for the help

Hey sorry I didn't provide enough info: The intake is said to give better performance in the 1500 - 6500 rpm range and the cam specs are : lift .488/.510 duration 234/244.
thanks again

no more than 2500 stall, any higher will be a waste for that mild of a motorcheck out www.wisconsinstreetdominators.com home of wisconsin's fastest "street" cars

You'll need somewhere between 10.0:1 and 11.5:1 compression ratio to use that cam effectively. I strongly urge you to know the exact c.r. you're running before installing that cam. Contrary to what others say about the converter, the cam will make power from 3,000 to 6,800 and I think you'll need a little more converter. You are being lead to believe it's a mild cam and that's not true. It is a very strong mid-range cam with little or no bottom end and I think you'll need a 3,000 stall at a minimum.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.
