    Demon........the name says it all.....

I would recommend avoiding demon carb's all-together. I work at a rod shop, and we have never had anything but trouble with them. Even the carb and injection specialist that we sub-out sometimes for rebuilds and the like says that they are a bunch of junk. They are not only overpriced for what they are, but I can almost guarantee you that you will never be able to get it tuned properly. They are very finicky, and poorly engineered. The particular model that my boss had on his magazine spread 63 belair looked great, but never performed as it should. The choke was so poorly engineered/casted/machined that it would not function properly. I don't mean for this to be a rant, but I am just trying to warn you before you spend top dollar for a carb that will do little more than look good. (Our experience is with their street based carbs, i cannot speak for any racing versions as I have no experience with them)

I agree, they are boat anchors.
Holley's are so much easier to work with.

The new edelbrock thunder is a good carb too, easy to work with.
Not as many way's to super tune them, but good, solid all around carbs.

Are you looking for a Vac. secondary or Mechanical.?
I am just learning as I go.

I've had several of them (Speed Demon) and nothing but problems. Metal shavings in the metering blocks and many other problems. Buy a Holley and enjoy driving the thing.

    Later Dennis
