You might want to check if the carbed intake will fit. As I understand it, the Vortec has a completely different way of bolting on the intake manifold. The manifolds that aftermarket suppliers support are the non-Vortec engines built prior to 1992.

Now I don't know this to be fact, but I highly suggest checking to make sure a carb manifold will fit with those heads.
