ther is 3 oil galley plugs in the front behind the timing gear see if they are in. if not this may be it ,and a plug in the block this one is up in the block were the main cap is if this is out you will have no oil. sometimes this get taking out when the block get hot tank and i all ways check this. it is small steel plug and on the newer one use a ball bearing .and is the drill spining the rigth way??

Pat, thanks for that ill pull the timing gear off this weekend and have a look. wish me luck as i dont want to have to pull the motor out and down if i dont have to, Cheers Mooty
