Question New engine in 1950 Dodge?

    Hi all!
I am new here. Anyone ever put a new engine into a 1950 Dodge Coronet? I am not sure whether a Chevy 350 or a Ford 302 w/manual transmission will fit. Thanks in advance.

    hi

i have the same project going on. I have a 1950 dodge 230". I was going to restore it but found a crack in the rear of block after doing some compression tests.

i have a 440" in my garage but am looking at info on what i need to do to make it fit as its a HUGE block.

let me know how youre project is doing. send some pics too!!

The steering box is in the way of a V8. If you do a front clip, anything will fit.
