Cleaning New Parts before installation?

I am getting ready to start installing all of my new recently bought part for my 350 ci 4 bolt main block. What tips can you offer in regards to whether I should wash the cam, crank, springs, rockers arms etc. before I actually install them in the engine. I thought someone had told me to use a degreaser/carburator cleaner on the new parts just to get the remnants of the manufacturing process off of the parts before installation.
Does this make any sense?

Also, this next question is a result of this being my first complete engine rebuid.
After I got the block back from the manchine shop with new cam bearnings/freeze plugs, I made the mistake of deburring the cam gallery. Granted there wasn't a lot of deburring I did, but it was done. I have since cleaned the block with a kerosene/degreaser mixtue shot through a air hose at 90psi. I am confident this block clean, however I am just a little concerned about the "grooved"cam bearnings in which the oil goes around the outside of the bearing. I do not want to have to remove these things. Should I be overly concerned about this?

By deburring all parts of sharp edges, do you also mean the edges of the camshaft lobes also?

I do not have a digital camera for the pictures, however; I was going to purchase a disposable camera and take pictures during the building process.

When I'm sure everything is degreased and thoroughly clean, then I do one final wash with hot soapy water and blow everything dry.

Ok, I won't touch the cam.
Now, in regards to my pistons, which are KB 11.0:1 hyperuetectics. The tops of them have a little bit of a dome to them. Can I take a piece of emery cloth and just lightly go over the "sharp" edges just to remove the potential stress risers; potential starting points for cracks? I know not to take to much off because I don't want to throw the balance off.
Also, anybody know of a place to get a decent set of full roller rockers for under $180 for a set of '74-'78 era 333882 heads?
