The 307 is a much better engine than a 305. The 307 has the same bore as a 283 (3.875") and the stroke of a 327 (3.25"). Almost anything you can do to help the performance of a 327 or 350 will also work in a 307. Thesals is correct - buy the goodies you want and you can put them on a 350 later.Jim
