I have built sev tunnle ram engine's what I have found to work is build the engine around the intake and carbs depending on what intake you use get a cam to match the rpm's of the intake and when you say low comp. how low are you wanting to go and also with a tunnle ram get a good ignition but a SBC should handle the 465cfm carbs a buddy of mine has 2 of them on a 400 sbc and it runs real good. good luck
