Water temp. Senser placement
i have a summit water temp gauge and it has a senser on the end of it and i was wondering where to put it and i can't find anything online about where to put it the instructions say in the engine block or sumthin like that and don't specify thx for any help~:low budget baby:~

There should be a hole in the intake behind the distributor where the sensor screws into the intake on the FE engine. G.

Realize that the main thing is to get the highest temperature of the water. This is close to where the water exits the engine heading for the radiator.
Often there is a water port leaving near this outlet/thermostat that feeds a full flow heater core. Often I put a short nipple at this point then a Tee then whatever it takes to continue the plumbing on to the heater core. I then screw the sensor into the Tee.
