I have a hydraulic lifter setup with a high volume oil pump. I know how to adjust solids. I also know how to adjust these with the engine running, but it is nice under the hood and I would prefer not to have oil everywhere. How can I adjust these with the engine off? Should the engine be cold? I have aluminum heads. It is on a small block chevy type motor. Thanks for any help.
