    7.5L/460 "Super Cobra Jet" Crate Engine

    Ford Part #: M-6007-F460

    * 466 Cu. In actual displacement
    * 550 HP @ 6250 RPM
    * 545 Ft./Lbs. of Torque @4800 RPM
    * 10.5:1 Compression Ratio

    Suggested Retail Price - $5,895.00

    If this is the engine you're looking at, you should be able to get this for at least 20% to 25% off. I have yet to find a dealer that won't discount engine assemblies, even performance onces. If the first one doesn't, go to another, shop around.

    Of course, that won't include your sales tax, but if you get 25% off, the tax should be covered.

    Or buy my 500ci 460 for $4500 and lay waste to that crate engine. Mines a solid flat tappet cam/lifters/springs/titanium retainers from Cam Research, Manly H-beam rods, Offset ground crank, ARP main studs, DOVE heads fully ported with MPG Heads exhaust port plates and screwed in studs with guide plates, Victor single plane or stealth-SCJ dual plane intake... both port matched, Harland Sharp roller rockers, oil pan to intake. Engine is fully ballanced, line bored with tq plate and ready to run on 93 octane fuel. It makes an easy 575 HP and will rev to 7000 RPM without fear. This would make that little mustang sick fast.
