Scooter, we did a '79 Bird for a friend of mine, went .030 on the 400 ci block and used the entire Edelbrock performer package on it. The car has a 4 speed with a 4:11 posi rear, runs great!! I used to have a GTO bracket car a couple decades ago, got lucky and scored a set of Ram Air heads for it. Those heads are very rare now, and the Edelbrocks are much lighter and probably flow better anyway. Anyway, the Goat was a very consistant high 11's bracket car, motor held up great. Give it a go, think you will like the results.
