Either that or the engince didn't like the car....Originally posted by Tommycat
Once again your string of luck continues. While you had catastrophic failure, you didn't lose the one thing you couldn't replace. Your life. Hell you didn't even hit the retaining wall. Its much less work to replace just the engine than to replace the engine and the whole right side. Its kinda suprising that you didn't have any indication during the run that something was gonna come undone like that. Maybe it was the car's way of telling you that it didn't like that engine.
But yeah at least nothing happened to you, it's just an engine anyways, there's plenty more of them out there, just need the money for it, which a lot of us seem to lack.

I kinda thought I was on borrowed time with this motor anyway. It hasen't been freshened up in at least 4 years. All I had to do was make it two more weeks.Originally posted by Streets

I Vote BB Chebby w/Huffer.... hehehehe
I'm not upset, I knew the consiquences when I got back into this sport. You are right about the BB Chebby, but the jury is still out on the Huffer. It will be bottle fed though, that I can guarantee, I'm hooked!

With the punishment I was giving it, and the amount of spray, it should be re-done about twice a year, at least.Originally posted by FMXhellraiser

What a bummer. I'm glad you didn't wreck it. Now you got an excuse to get a bigger engine and go faster." Im gone'

not too bad I guess. I thought that the old engines wen't out faster than 2 years, esp when racing. I am just glad they don't go out like a dirt bike engine or where you have to rebuild after every two races.Originally posted by pro60chevy

Low Oil Pressure
That's why I use the big "idiot" pro lite that falshes RED and says "Hey stupid, shut me down before I blow!!"Originally posted by pro60chevy
Those are my feelings exactly, on everything you said. I am supprised also, but I could have been low on oil pressure and just didn't see it with trying to concentrate on everything else.
But seriously, I use the pro-lite and an oil accumulator. Good insurance IMO!

Re: Low Oil Pressure
Make a note to self. Install one of them lights. Thanks. I will be putting a diaper on the new motor also. If I get the motor I want, I'll need a diaper on me too.Originally posted by Phantasea427
