Its kinda suprising that you didn't have any indication during the run that something was gonna come undone like that. Maybe it was the car's way of telling you that it didn't like that engine.
Either that or the engince didn't like the car.... But yeah at least nothing happened to you, it's just an engine anyways, there's plenty more of them out there, just need the money for it, which a lot of us seem to lack.

I kinda thought I was on borrowed time with this motor anyway. It hasen't been freshened up in at least 4 years. All I had to do was make it two more weeks. I'm not upset, I knew the consiquences when I got back into this sport. You are right about the BB Chebby, but the jury is still out on the Huffer. It will be bottle fed though, that I can guarantee, I'm hooked!

How often do you rebuild your engine when you are racing it?

With the punishment I was giving it, and the amount of spray, it should be re-done about twice a year, at least.

What a bummer. I'm glad you didn't wreck it. Now you got an excuse to get a bigger engine and go faster.

not too bad I guess. I thought that the old engines wen't out faster than 2 years, esp when racing. I am just glad they don't go out like a dirt bike engine or where you have to rebuild after every two races.

That's why I use the big "idiot" pro lite that falshes RED and says "Hey stupid, shut me down before I blow!!"

But seriously, I use the pro-lite and an oil accumulator. Good insurance IMO!

    Good Luck

Make a note to self. Install one of them lights. Thanks. I will be putting a diaper on the new motor also. If I get the motor I want, I'll need a diaper on me too.
