Drag racing doesn't get much tv coverage here in Maine so I don't know who's who anymore. The closest dragstrip is 35 miles from my house but it's only 1/8 mile so none of the big names race here. They have one day every year when it's free to spectators and particapants. I raced a few times and never lost so I'm my favorite driver. Nascar has a lot of fans up here. The favorite drivers around here were Dale Earnhardt (#3), Jeff Gordon (#28) and local hero Ricky Craven (#32). Now that Earnhardt's gone and Jeff isn't doing so good Ricky is the favorite. Did you see the race two weeks ago that Ricky won by 6 inches and less than 2/10 of a second? They showed it on the local news for 3 days sometimes 2 or 3 times on each newscast. Ricky switched from Ford to Pontiac this year. I liked it better last year when the announcers called his car the 32 Ford.

race coverage in my local paper/tv is about nil until the races come to the area (pocono/maple grove). i dont like f1,cart irl. we do have a good amount of dirt tracks in the area but again, press coverage is very sparse.
