Tire height does play a big part in setting up your gearing for your car. You first need to know your torque curve, and where on it you plan to launch, in order to find that "sweet" spot.
It's almost impossible to give you anymore of an answer without more information from you on your tranny gearing, rear gears, engine torque, and horsepower.
