About the same time the finals were in Tulsa, mid 70's or so. I don't think it lasted too long as I seem to remember they became an IHRA strip. IIRC, there was 4 majors at the time, Winter, Spring, Summer and the finals at Tulsa. I'm going from memory here, first was the Nationals and the Winter Nationals was added in 61 which made Indy the Summer Nationals. From their website, Bristol's first Spring Nationals was in 65.
