    Budd's Creek PA

I'm getting excited about the upcoming week. Next Saturday a group from around the coutry that we meet up with once a year will be converging on Budd's Creek for the 5th annual LEGENDS AT BUDD:S CREEK Nostalgia Drags & our own 9th annual DragList Nationals. I have the opotunity to be an official photographer, with access to the wall & starting line. I can't wait for that rare opportunity, should be fun.
We're leaving early making a stop at Gettysburg on the way, then spending 3 days sight seeing with the group in & around Washington DC. Then to the track for Saturday racing. It will be a week packed with things to do with minimal sleep. Did in mention I Can't Wait.

If they have any fuel funny cars there, try to weasel your way into the starter's box with the starter when they launch. The slab-sided bodies bounce the sound back and forth between them and make every cell in your body want to abandon ship. Nothing else like it on the planet.

I hope they do Richard. All I see on the bill is gassers, hope they have a little nitro there.

Back in the DAY----------Keeling poured the bleach for the burn out and I was down track to roll the car back ------
at Indy in 1971, John couldn't get there for the first day of qualifying so I had to pour the bleach---newbie bleacher????
well, I poured it in front of the left tire ( we're in the LEFT lane) quickly stepped over the nose of the car to pour the right side--------that VHT stuff was very sticky-------gave Ramsey the thumbs up-----------and he hit it-------didn't put my sticky fingers in my ears--------and John Wiebe was in the right lane and yep---he hit his at the same time--I'm standing in the middle of the lanes-------WHAT is that ringing??????????whatda ya say?????????
