Sure would love to be there standing right between lanes 2 and 3 when the fuel cars launch!!!! Not sure there's words to describe what that must sound like!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Once at Indy, Keeling wasn't there yet and he usually poured the bleach for the burnout and I was down track to push the car back to the line----since John wasn't there, I poured the bleach in front of left tire, stepped over body in front of engine and poured for right tire--gave thumbs up and go motion----same time as John Wiebe hit it in the right lane---I was between the two of them, sticky VHT fingers , no hearing protection--- and on a burn out they don't move as fast as a run but with wheels spinning ---there was no place for me to go--loud----------------WHAT????????????

I never flagged a fuel car, only gas, and out in the middle of the strip it got pretty loud and I never wore any ear protection, not cool you know, and my hearing is pretty good.
But I don't think you could pay me enough to flag a couple of fuelersKen Thomas
