That's simply not true. Ford is pulling away from the professional classes, but according to Ford Racing they are increasing their investment in the local run-what-you-brung classes to try to promote the sport. Ford simply looked at the returns on investment, and decided that their continued support of the top level pro classes did not make sense, so they're shifting to the smaller players.

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Well, Chevy has the new COPO car for Super Stock! Takes $120K and you have to know somebody to get on the buy list. There was one on the private market for $130K a couple weeks ago!

Ford just seems to be wanting to make an affordable deal for the small time racers!

Garlits was at Cordova World Series over the week end with the new Dodge with the v10 viper setup--red lighted in the semis ---------
Was quite a weed end of racing--no seats anywhere Sat afternoon/night and an official told me they were parking cars on the shoulder of the highway--they had a field of 8 jet cars, 20+ nostalgic funnys, several match races, several hundred box and nobox racers, dozens of 50,60,70 hi performance cars

Robin took lots of pictures but I haven't down loaded them yet to see------
