    Car does bad at a roll race!!!

     



    Okay i was just wondering if anyone knows why this happens anyway i race my friends car from a roll (about 30mph) and we are even and then when we do it from a stop i smoke him while burning out. So i was wondering why is this. could it be because i have 4.56 gears with a th-350 tranny anything will help thanks.

    Its the 456 gears....From a stop, your engine is into its power band much sooner

    he may have a torque converter that is too tight ..
    at launch he is under his cam.. (below torque peak)
    so you get out quicker.
    but at 30 mph..he is on top of his cam...(in a better spot where cam makes power)
    and he is able to stay with you.
