Yepper-yrs ago the barriers common place was wooden snow fences.

At a Indy National Top Fuelie FED's rear tire broke and mowed down a number of people killing one.I remember the pics with what looked like a perfect hole in the fence.Looked like it didn't slow down the tire at all.But that is why if you get a pit pass,there is a release you sign and those same releases apply to tickets in the stands.
