    clean up pass

I'm hoping someone can help me with this. I would like to make .20 flute cuts in oak and then do about a .01 clean up cut. If I set the depth at .21 with a .20 per pass depth of cut, it cuts 2 passes @ .105 each pass. Is there a way to set it up in one operation so it makes the full .20 pass and then follows with a .01 clean up pass? Right now I'm setting it up as 2 seperate operations. There should be an easier way.
    thanks

    Red face

OOOOOPs. I thought I got this deleted. Guess not. I had a CNC question and I pulled up the wrong site. Hey I turned 51 last Sunday, so this constitutes a senior moment.

    "clean up pass"

    as described by The Madgrinder...

a second pass down the dragstrip in your car or pit truck, made with a large broom attached to the rear with the purpose of collecting the destroyed and dropped parts from your previous pass.
Ensure that the path of least resistance is not you...

I used to do a lot of maintenance and repair on thos CNC machines. Its amazing how simple they are once all the sheet metal and control panel are removed.Whats the new and old machines you are dealing with?

The old one (10 Yrs) is a Multi Cam 44
4'x4' table. The new one is a 4'x8' Shop Bot. Multi cam worked one day and didn't the next. when I called tech support and told them I had a 44 they said WOW didn't know there were any of those still out there anymore (10 yrs. in electronic years is ancient). Mine was an early one Ser. #58!! When they said that I knew I was in deep XXXXXXX. To fix it was more than it was worth. Since I'm gettin' on in years and inching closer to retirment I didn't want to spend alot on another CNC as it is not a real big part of my business, just a fun sidline really. So, I bought the Shopbot. I'll be,,,,, once I got it up and runin' it's a pretty handy little gadget.!!!! It cuts wood signs great and cuts aluminum and steel tooooo!!!!!
