I've seen this sort of thing before!
In the late '60s or early seventies I was at Charleston Dragway in central Illinois, a local 1/8th mile track. A C/G '32 Ford victoria, with an injected SBC 4-speed, dumped the entire crank assembly on the starting line! Those were the days of 8,000-10,000 RPM launches. :-)
The car was either sponsored, or owned by Albert Clark of Clark Chevrolet, who later went on to run Pro Stock, and also sponsored Keith Stark's record holding injected A/fueler.
Sorry ....I didn't get a picture. :-(
John's ride to the cemetery, his beloved Billings OK bus, The Baby Elephant!! Traveling in style!! As his service was starting I couldn't figure out what the music was, heavy on a flute in a jaunty...
