Vintage Drag Car Replicas
Here are three projects under construction at my friend's metal fab shop. Sorry about the crappy pictures, I was using a crappy camera.
First, an altered wheelbase '63 Pontiac LeMans. Both the front and rear axles have been moved forward. This is a replica of the old "Tameless Tiger" drag car from the '60s.
Second and third are a pair of front-engine dragsters.
Here is the hand made aluminum rear body section for one of the dragsters.
It's always a treat to visit Kurt's shop. I'll post more pics as these projects come together.

He is done with the metal work on the Le Mans, but he already sold it to a guy who plans to finish it elsewhere, so I probably won't get to see it finished.
Amazing things come out of his shop on a regular basis. Streetrods, nostalgia race cars, and classic hot rods, even classic farm tractors.
He's made several replacement panels for these extremely rare and collectable Minneapolis-Moline UDLX tractors.
(BTW this thing is 100% street legal - this one has an Iowa license plate)
Check out his website to see pics of some of the cars he has built. He is truly an artist.

Love that 'nostalgia' look to the LeMans .....and the FED's - really brings back memories - but every time I look at one with the diff in your lap, the family jewels just kinda tingleDave W
I am now gone from this forum for now - finally have pulled the plug
Gorgeous! That sucks you're having FI issues, but it seems there's always bugs to work out no matter how hard you try to make it perfect.
