    Bench Racers or Wana Bee's

Well we have a two guys who hang with us at the track that dont have a car.
One guy reads a lot and tells us how he is going to build a mustang to run below 6 seconds in the 1/8. the first time he runs it. Brag brag brag.
Well we have a guy who teaches people to race with his car, an old Nova and he let Bob race for the first time after a year of watching and bragging, Fred was tired of it. Oh did I forget to mention the less then 6 second guy Bob never drove a car down the track. Well he couldn't do a burn out, passed the lights, couldn't find reverse and so on. After 4 passes the best time he had was over 10 seconds in a car that runs 7.7 all day long without the NOS as it was turned off.
The bad thing was all we heard were excuses all night. He didn't have the balls to admit it was harder then it looked. Evertime we take .5 seconds off my car my son states how much faster things happen. A REAL MAN.
Bob want's to drop 5 seconds, ya right Bob.
The next week a friend's wife drove the old Nova as she too never drove a car down the track, however she ran 8.2 all night. Bob was offered to try again but only declined. I wonder WHY. LOL
Oh guys by the way, as Tammy my freinds wife drove the old Nova before her Chevelle was ready, she had such a blast that she now is helping get her car ready and told her husband who has been waiting to buy a Vortech for a year. Hunny go ahead and buy the Vortech, what else can we do to make the cars faster.

LET THE WIFE DRIVE AND SHE WILL LET YOU SPEND MONEY.

I asked, and she gracefully declined.

My wife may run tonight. I think she wants to wait for my car to be done. Maybe next week.

Better be careful letting the significant other drive.... I let one of my girlfriends run my car years back. Ended up she had lightening quick reflexes and was good for a couple 00 lights every Saturday night. I was soon relegated from owner/driver to owner/cheif wrench and track temperature checker!!!!
