    Questions for Techinspector

Well, it's not like I have enough projects so I picked up another car to work on in my "spare time". I made a deal on a 64 Ford Custom 2dr Post.

Plans are to keep the 3500 pound blob totally streetable and era correct and get it consistently in the mid 13s. I'm shooting for running it once or twice a year just for the fun of it.

Although it will be close as far as getting the car ready for the 2004 season (I'm really looking at the 2005), a few questions come to mind.

    1. When do the 2004 NHRA rule books come out?

    2. Does Forebird run any Nostalgia Drag events?

    3. Are exhaust dumps (the kind that can be capped and exit behind the front tires) legal?

Thanks Richard. Your advice on the extensions will be included when I build the exhaust.

Years ago when I was racing the current rule book always lived in one of 3 places: the bench when I was building the car, when it wasn't on the bench it was in the glove compartment, and in my hand when there was a question about the car.

When Tucson first opened and I was getting a bunch of customers cars ready to go race (you'd be amased how many guys with "11 or 12 second" cars stopped bragging) your advice on the rule book was what I gave to my customers almost verbatem.

    Again thanks.
I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....
