I've been underneath a few doing inspections and installing (ahem...custom mandrel-bent) exhausts. Some have torque arms that actually help to resist the forward Gs and actually transfer weight forward.

But like Chevyboy said, the quickest ones are RWD.

There are also lots of extremely quick AWD cars. Watch out for the guys who install larger turbos and nitrous on the AWD STIs and Eclipses. They can launch hard with no wheelspin. Impressive.
