OK i thought you meant it had been back firing on that motor, he has changed them anyway, but you're right, that could have messed them up. Cant say nothing bad about moma, but if you got a few days i could tell you a few thing about pops.

hi again, had to work so missed it all again,I hope i havent made bad friend of all you helpfull racers? on the carb ,one was a good 650 that i ran on my high comp engine,as for the other it was sitting in a friends garage and he gave it to me so this was the first time i used it.at the track when i first ran i had trouble blowing the blower to manifold gasket, if you see the pitcures on webshots ,this is all fabed in my garage, it took the first weekend to sort out the spring pressure on the pop off vavle. when i did that sovled the blower to manifold problem.then came the blower drive,it kept throwing belts so after two more weekends that was fixed with a change in the idler setup.so after all this our race season was half over.on the next race weekend the car was ready for a full pass, so i taugh, that is when all what i have been trying to explain started , with the hard launches pulling through second gear then third then on her face and off as i started to lift.so i hope this can clear up what i am asking, i think all of you have given me alot to work with so i hope everything fine thanks

i tried to get a look at your set up .denny did put it up and i see you do have two holley s and not afb s i did not read your thred rigth i missed this. all i can say is this. you can not run with only the small pump you have. i have worked on dual turbo cars 542 chevy and a buick v6 and made lots of parts for them air intake and ex headers inter cooler pipes fuel rails and have work on over five blown big blocks and two blown small block and have did many fuel system for street and drag and you will need more fuel. that told me what i need to know .i hope this will help you

Hey guys. I havent been on much lately, but this is a very interesting problem. With this motor blowing head gaskets, damaging plugs and running more carb than most 500s, has anyone checked for head warpage? Seems to me that if it is only blowing gaskets between the cylinders, that is a sign of bowing out of the metal. After all, if it is falling on its face at higher strain rather than the 1st and 2nd gears where the stress on the motor is minimal, does that point away from the carb? I could have Sworn that the same effect would happen at the same blower RPM which is relitive to the Engine Rpm. Or is there something here I'm missing?

Oh, And as for the fuel delivery problem, try a simple in line EFI style fuel pump. it'll work wonders
