Well today was the first time I have ever raced. Oh sure I test and tuned the other day but waht a noob!! HAHA still am though come to think of it well any way ran consistent enough for 2nd place and being that it was my 1st time out I'LL take it :

Very fine job for the first time out!!!! What kind of times did you run?? How close could you stay to your dial in, how were your RT's???

Hey thanks guys. My reation times need just alil help at .700 or less never red lighted though. i was running a dial in time of 13.38 and brokeout once but the next lane brokeout more time

If that is in your pickemup truck, that is a good et for something of that weight that is about as aerodynamic as a barn door!!! Way to go!!!! I still play with my practice tree, when I'm actively campaining a drag car I put a lot of time in on it. Getting the tree right is probably 2nd only to running on you dial in when you're bracket racing. Getting "treed" is still the quickest way to get "trailered". Keep practicng, get in all the time trials you can and establish a routine and stick to it EVERY TIME you stage and launch. Runnerup your first time out is indeed something to be proud of!!!!!

no big head here. I now have even more respect for the hobbie now and any 1 involved. i think its gotta 12.80 in it though but now its time tune the motor for the best E.T and chassis for the 60' times, gotta get her to hook. so maybe i should start new thread but how do u get parabolic leafs that have good weight transfer on the street isnt good enough for the strip (which confuses me). should i lower the rear by puttin the rear over the springs and lower the front to equal height

I bought mine many years ago from an ad in National Dragster. If I loaned it to ya, then you younguns would start whoopin on me if I decide to do some more running!!!!!!!!

i still think i will end up redlighting 4 or 5 times i mean i know yer spose to nail it on the last yellow but dang its hard

BTW: it hink ive got the pre-race jitters <i decided to go on saturday instead> my heart is beating 10000 mph and the stomachs in knots i mean i know i wont be competitave on street tires but dang it iw anna have some fun thats what racin's alla bout right? <well used to be kinda sorta > i got my back brakes adjusted now the pedal isnt noodly at all. ive got my trick 114 <yes 114 for a 301 > i plan on bringing my craftsman 3 drawer tool box <now thats nostalgic> a box of jets for the carb and maybe just maybe a pair of clean underwear ...............scooter

nope. Never have ran without slicks. You will probably have to launch at a lower RPM, then nail it to keep from goin up in smoke. Have fun!!!!

You should sign up for one of the bracket at NHRA racing. Looks like you will not have a problem doing well.
