Whip, I think you are technically correct although Chevrolet called the Corvette a "roadster" in the 70's and it had roll-up windows. Some define the difference as a back seat or no back seat nowdays. Certainly the 53 and 54 Corvettes were true roadsters since they had no roll up windows. I tend to use your definition.....no roll up windows and a single front seat (but not a phaeton with no roll up windows and a second seat).
If we come down to NZ maybe in your Springtime, what is a good month? Can we squeeze two or three roadsters into our luggage and drive around? How do you get from the north to the south and vice versa? Ferry? Swim? Plane? Long bridge with toll? Some Kiwis at LARS have us convinced that NZ is the place to visit.
