Me too, me too, I like the build table also as I wouldn't of thought of using timber but your set up is excellent.
Okay, can you put me out my misery and tell me how the grille is sitting there ? Sky hook using invisible strop ?

It's resting on the framerails and a string at the top.
That's what it appears to be on my end..
The grill shell will sit down on the front suspension bracketry when done. Just had to pop it up there for a pic. Also, I'll be using a different grill shell-this one is just for mock-up. Engine should be going in between the rails on Saturday or Sunday.
Thanks everyone for the encouragement. This is my first car project in over a decade since doing the custom motorcycles. Can't wait to start machining really trick stuff for this!!!
Nice mockup!!! Sky hooks are really handy at this stage of a build, can never have too many!!!!!
Lookin sweet. Thanks for updating this posting with pictures!
Very nice!
Manifold is on its way... Blower is here!

A Ford in a Ford!!!! Does my heart good to see it! Looks great so far, keep it up!!!!!
That is a really nice lookng body too. I found one last weekend in the woods but the owner will not let us remove any parts of it or it. It's pretty far gone though. My buddy got a deer with his bow and we went to ask permission to go on this guy's land, and low and behold that deer layed right next to the cowl of this body. I didn't have my phone to grab pics. It drives me nuts when people want to let this stuff go to crap and not let anyone use it. I mean, go green right?
Anybody need a BRAND NEW Edelbrock water pump?

The bore for the drive hub was press fit the whole way, so I took .0015 off it to help line it up with the keyway.

I also dropped the pan and ordered a new cast alum finned 'T' pan. When I pulled the intake to do some finish machining, I dropped a washer right down an intake port and into a cylinder...

nice work, the engine looks really nice. That stinks about the washer. At least you knew and ripped it apart instead of forgetting and waiting.
Who's distributor?
Its Mallory #3755801.
Heads back on and oil pan arrived today...

Looks very nice. That looks like a stout pan. At least they cast in relief areas so you can access the bolt holes easier.
The darn thing weighs about as much as a bare alum cylinder head! It is stout!!
Just ordering a oil pan stud set...
Started front engine plate design tonight

Me too, me too, thoroughly enjoying your journey in building this car. Thanks for taking the time to show us.
