    Nailhead in a 32 ford

     



    Just bought a nailhead engine. How hard is it dropping in a 32 frame? Also does the firewall have to be altered ? Any pictures would help

    Anything will fit in a Deuce frame if you want it in there bad enough, nailheads aren't a big huge engine at all. You'd have to build some new mounts, etc. As for the firewall, it would depend on what firewall is in the car now..

    What size nailhead? I have a really nice 425 nailhead crankshaft.....

    nailhead

     



    Its a 364. Its got 401 heads on it now. I want to bore it out either 30 or 60 over. Will a 425 crank fit ? How muck do you want for the crank?

    Nailheads while fairly narrow are pretty long, The 394 olds on my 32 just about fit (32")without modding the firewall, the nailhead is a bit longer at (34")
