    Speaking of American Graffitti

I am working with a guy who was the origional owner of the "Black Widow". The black 55' Chevy in American Graffitti.
He's got some good stories to tell.

He says he used to cruise up 10th street and down 11th in Modesto, CA with that bad boy.
I guess he used to make a few bucks with the car. As he puts it:
Used to race those "Por-Da-Gee's" every chance he got. From what he tells it, there was not a car in the valley that could whip him.
The 58 Chevy in the movie was his neighbors car. They both sold the cars to the movie makers and were paid pretty well (for those days).
The 32 Ford was litterally a piece of junk as far as speed was concerned.
These are all his stories mind you.

What a load of BS....the "American Grafitti" car was a rebuilt movie car that was originally built for "2 Lane Blacktop"

It was rebuilt from that car by Jerry Ruth.......

Two lane black top came out AFTER American Graffitti . . . . Case CLosed !
Now maybe you were going to say, that the black 55 was used or rebuilt AFTER American Graffitti. Hmmmmmmmmm??????

    Lets all repeat:
The car was FIRST used in American Graffitti !
Then it was used in Two Lane Black Top.
