    Craigslist deal of the day

I was looking at Craigslist this morning, for a Dodge Minivan seat for my T Tudor Sedan... didn't find one, and logged off and went out to the garage at about 8:30 AM. At 9, I get a call from a friend of mine from 80 miles south, asking me if I can go pick up a 'find' for him, it's in my town (and, as it turns out, less than 3 miles away... grrrr...)
It showed up on Craigslist at 8:49, 19 minutes after I went out to the garage. It was under "Auto parts for sale" but it was called "antique car grille and surround" My buddy told me to go on the computer, log onto C/L, and look at the photo.. I did, and nearly sh*DSCN4221.jpgDSCN4220.jpgDSCN4218.jpgt myself. This is what I scored for my friend for 200 bucks...

If I had just stayed on for another 20 minutes instead of going out to paint my headers....

As they say, timing is everything!! Sure is a major score for your friend though.

Obviously just a China repop.. I think what you should do..Just to save face, is sell it to me for half cost and write off all fuel cost, as favors for friends. Ya see I done mind foreign parts on my 31 ford as I have a 22R for power!!

That would be what's called a huge score!

    Bonus!
It's funny how often I see items on CL posted for sale, in a classification that is completely wrong for the object. It pays to snoop around in other classifications as you never know what they may be hiding..

It was in "Auto Parts For Sale" alright, but it was advertised as an "Antique car grille and surround"...I guess my buddy called and asked if he still had it, thinking one of his 'friends" was playing a joke, and wanted him to be beseiged with phone calls, but the guy said "yes, I still have it, do you know what it's for?" nd my buddy told him "it's for an old Ford'....of course, when i got there and bought it for my buddy, I asked the guy if he had any other "old ford parts" for sale.... nada.
Oh, well, my buddy is a good friend, and I'm glad he got it. Truye, i would have preferred that *I* obtained it, but oh well...
