As much as I like the 'banjo' wheels, if you were to line 10 rods up in a row, I would bet there would be 3 (or more) that had some iteration of one. That's when, to me, it becomes a follow me kind of thing and rods are supposed to be an individual statement. I'm not crazy about mine, but the leather wrap does match the interior and LeCarra wheels are only on one or 2 of that lineup:eek::D.
I have heard that Banjo wheels Flex while turning is this true
I like my Grant Classic Cruisn' wheel - simple and easy.

I've always liked the late '60s Chevy 3 spoke wheels found on Camaros and Chevelles. If I can find one in good condition, at a reasonable price, I would like to use one in my project. Here are a couple of examples, one from ebay, the other from Juliano.

Funny you should mention this. We had the same discussion when I mounted the four spoke wheel on my 23. Tried it both ways and it looked fine either way. We finally settled on the spokes not straight up and down as my hands felt better gripping the wheel in that position. But I never was able to find out if there was a "right" or "wrong" position traditionally to do it. Nice thing was that I had a quick disconnect on the steering wheel, so I could take it off and reindex it if the mood struck me to change it.Quote:

No, I meant Dan and I had that discussion, I didn't recall that you and I had it also. I never gave which way it should go until the night I actually installed the wheel and I had it one way and Dan thought it should go the other. We kept trying it back and forth and had a hard time making up our minds. :D
