    Here's a 32 roadster(Steel Brookville) I did, Traditional style, a few years ago.
Had over 44K (@ dealer cost). just in parts & materials.
    Add another 15 - 20 for a coupe.
If ya want a chopped 3 window Brookeville, Bobby Walden sells the body chopped for around 28K
    Good luck.

That is pretty close to what I am trying to end up with, except of course being a coupe!
And thanks for the info on Waldens Speed Shop.
Geez, how does this happen, I started out with a plan to buy an $8000 body, and basic chev V8, now I am up to just $28k for the perfect body, I don't even want to know how much a flathead is going to add up to!
So now, help me with some tips on finding a flathead and flathead speed parts.
I guess I would rather put of some other projects and build something I feel good about, I don't think I could go wrong with a Steel body and Flathead!
What's next a quick change rear end? It just never seems to end.

Yep, that is pretty close to what I am trying to end up with in a coupe version.
Thanks for the tip on Walden Speed Shop.
I started out planning on using an $8k body and basic Chev V8, but it looks like the only fiberglass option is Wescott's, but that is getting close to the Steel body, which would be worth more in the long run. Now I am leaning to a Flathead since I am buried in the body.
Any good pointers where to locate a Flathead and speed parts? I remember someone found a bunch of blocks in France.
Oh well, I guess some other project can be put on the back burner. I am just trying to get as many toys for my buck as I can, but not end up with junk trying to save money!

If you are looking to buy a '32 body at a reasonable price and still get a quality piece, check out BeeBops. I have seen his bodies, and would have seriously considered one had he been making them when I started by deuce. Yogi's handles BeeBop bodies, and he can usually provide you with a discount if you go through him rather than buy direct.

I talked to H&H in Pleasanton a few weeks back. Their basic stock flathead was $6500 turnkey, and the polished model with a supercharger and dual carbs was $14,500 so I would think that you might get a nice old school flatty with a cam, a bit more compression and a brace of carbs for Don's $10K. Based on where I am today with a glass N&N body and premium roller I wouldn't argue with his $65K piggy bank for a steel body. Then you get to decide what to farm out, and what you can do yourself.

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

    Yer right there Rog.
The black roadster above was done for a customer, all done in house less upholstery and chrome.
The final bill on it was right @ 85K
    A coupe would run $100k +

Don, I was reporting the information, that's all. It seems that he's burnt a few bodies. There are plenty of manufacturers who are more deserving of someone's business.
Will you be driving to Sac end of the month?
