    53-56 f100 front brakes

Hi all!! got a set off f100 front brakes to put on my 32,the bearing kit is from speedway. the inner bearing works with the hub(outside diameter of 2-11/16 for the race) the inside diameter for the spindle is 1-3/16,my spindle is 1-3/8,anybody know the # of the bearing i need? I think the spindles are from chassis engineering. thanks Pete

The Speedway kit should go straight on 37-41 spindles

Hi!! thanks for the reply!! found out that the CE spindle has a beefer boss to accept the bearing and race for the mopar rotor, don,t know if i can get a bearing to work or turn down the spindle from 1 3/8 to 1 3-16,or get new spindles with the ford diameter. thanks Pete

It would be cheaper to have your spindles turned down, its an easy job.

I think the bearing part nos. that would make this work would be a Timken cone no. 14585; it has a bore of 1.375, width of 0.813, and a BF(?) radius of 0.14. And a Timken cup no. 14525; OD 2.688, Width 0.625, BF (?) radius of 0.09, T/T1 Width 0.813. It may be possible to just use the cone with your cup; you may want to consult the catalog page at the link below or a bearing dealer near you before you place an order.

The catalog page I found this info was 215.

Got your PM. Before you buy bearings or turn down the spindles you will want to verify that the rest of the dimensions on the spindle match the Ford spindles the kit was meant for. Hope it works out for you.
