    Gas tank size

Hi Guys I bought a gas tank off ebay a few months ago. I dont remember the size of the gallons it takes. i need to buy a new pickup tube and want to get the right size. I dont know if its a 15 gal or 11 gal. Is there a way to tell by dimensions of the tank? I could start adding gallons of water. The car is a year from being done,so the water will evaporate way befor the car is done.

Multiply length X width X height (in inches) and divide by 231.

    This should get you close.

Can I assume that it's a '32 style? If so, TANK'S Inc will sell you a cut to size http://www.tanksinc.com/index.cfm/pa...prod/prd94.htm. The have the OEM size tank as well as a couple of similar larger styles. This is their ~15 gallon size. It's about 1-2 inches deeper then the oem

It's about 6.50 to 6.75 below the mounting flange. Now, if you need a sending unit, that is based on the brand of gauge and sold with the gauge
