Make sure the block is clean, shoot epoxy primer, scuff then shoot S/S urethane (3 coats)
have seen engines I've done this way 7-8 years later and they still look new.
    Good luck

I used urethane on my 350 block fifteen years ago, and I used gloss black 1-Shot pin striper's paint on my 383 seven years ago. Both worked quite well with no difference in durability.

It will stay on the block good with epoxy, I use the same, Is your urethane the same as our 2 pack ??? different terminology here, our 2pack is paint plus hardener usually 2 to 1 mix
