I am in the same boat!! I couldn't get mine registered as a street rod because the original Ohio title states that was not built in 1932. So I had to register it as a regular passenger car.
Check out the PA DMV site for all of the items necessary for a street rod to pass inspection. There is lots of really confusing information there that I'm sure you'll find interesting.
