i have had one detroit locker i had it for 4 years and do not care for it much but that was the only thing i could get with 35 spline axles move up to that when i put the 632 donovan in the gto be for i had a 4 spider ford clutch 31 units i had them working with all stock parts but no crush sleeve and used one in both cars . they work good never played with them from a 468 to a 548 cid 14.8 roller engine with a stock case i had the same one in for over 25 years .had one in my tube out 66 gto came out when i move up to a 573 used 40 spline and spool and a HRW iron case and a big pin nickle gear so that went in to my 50 chevy with many bbc engine from 548 blown down to 468 i had a stock center and pin supports i went to a HRW case in both cars was well as daytona pin supports and mosher alxes . you want to keep away from the 4 hole or window track unit they have the holes or windows on the clutch side and crack but they were made like this early on and ford stop making them like that for over 30 years if setup right i would take one over a locker any day but that maybe just me
