I need a grill insert for a 1932 Chevy. I am having a hard time finding such an animal??? I have gone on Ebay, various websites, etc......... I can find 32' Ford. Is there a place that I can get "material" to make an insert. I am open to all ideas. As always" thanks for the help"...............t

I'm keeping my eye on this one.....for building material I'm concidering 1/4 flats bent to match my angle....painting mine so dont need the shiney stuff. The Chevy's are harder to find this stuff for but I bet someone will chime in. They make the stainless steel inserts for my 36 so I'm sure they make them for your 32 as well.

You can make an attractive grille from woven wire mesh, see this for examples of options available; http://www.twpinc.com/twpinc/control...y_id=TWPCAT_12

It's available in plain steel as well as the stainless, I'd go stainless even if painted because of potential for rust at each of the overlaps later on. Paint or polish, it will have a period look. You can find it at local steel suppliers, but you may have to shop some to find one that will sell less than full sheet.

Bow Tie Reproductions is another sorce for the original type insert. I'm building a 32 chevy coupe right now and I'm looking for a steel grill shell if anybody has a lead on one.

Thanks Uncle Bob! Think thats the route I'll take now. I prefer the mesh to the bars. Just didnt like the wide middle ridge and the crank hole. Never dreamed they made this stuff. Really...thanks.

From the pictures looks like the #6 will give me a similar pattern.
