Steve, the car looks awesome!!! Glad you went with the green stripes?? Thats one of my favorites (color), especially trying to convince the customer it will look good!! I'm kinda surprised Dennis let you stay in the booth with him... That would have COST you at my place... I HATE having customers watching over my shoulder. Not sounding "mean" but as you mentioned on one pic, you started to get nervous..." THAT is the part that I hate to deal with, customers not understanding the "steps" to get to the finished product. I KNOW whats going on, let me work!! If you wouldn't mind, either public or pm, what is the "neighborhood" of what he charged for that job? I have an idea where I'd be, and I'd like to know how far too cheap I really am!! Being in the business and trying to do "everything" myself, (the prep, paint, striping) I cannot imagaine striping over those louvers! Never striped over them... Car looks great, hope you enjoy the heck out of it!! Donny

    Very hot.

I love that you chose to go with the green pinstriping instead of a shade of blue that you seem to see on most other red/orange/yellow flame jobs.

I PM'd you the ballpark price. If I put it here, my wife might see it!
The 4 louvered panels took more time than the rest of the car. He didn't want to do it any other way & right now- the louvers are my favorite part. They almost look 3 dementional!

As far as me in the booth- I had a mask, but exited when he shot clear. He actually wanted me in there to make sure I liked it.

The green stripe- man, when Dennis suggested it- I thought he was insane. I wanted an off white or traditional blue. He kept leaning green. Glad I listened!

I've used green myself. Actually, if you ever took art classes, they teach that green is the ideal complimentary color for red....so that would be one of the logical choices. It just isn't the color traditionally used.

That's exactly what Dennis said. It also goes very well w/ the yellow/oranges.

Wow Steve that really turned out super. The way the flames flow over the vents is really impressive! I like the way he tied the flames on the hood into the sides of the roadster which really flows good.

    I like it!

For all that the wreck was a PITA, it has a pretty good outcome don't it?

Your Deuce was nice before the flames, now it is really outstanding. Looks great.

Man, is it scary seeing a nicely finished roadster with all that new paint being sprayed on top of it! Half way through the job you had to be wondering what you had gotten into. My hat is off to the artists who have the courage and skill to create works of art like this, especially on someone else's car.

Steve it looks great! The green really works with the edges! Now you gotta do some burn outs!
